# "Bargain" bidding mode

{% hint style="info" %}
All notifications regarding bids on your offers are sent to the email address indicated in your profile (on the Login and Security page).
{% endhint %}

### Bargain:

* The most flexible bidding mode, where competition both in terms of cost and transportation is important;
* Bidder has 4 statuses of their active bid: "Best", "Among the best", "Mid" and "Losing";
* Each user can make an unlimited number of bids, but only the last bid will be active;
* Even if the user is a member of several companies, they can submit an unlimited number of bids;
* The price specified in the offer is a guideline for bidders;
* You determine the winner yourself.

### In order to create an offer for the "Bargain" mode, do the following:

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Note!** "Bargain" mode is available for freight offers only.
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Click "Create an offer" in the upper left corner and select "Freight".

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Fill in the obligatory data about your shipment, delivery time and other conditions.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/drvjkmxUqXM4edKjgHtZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In "Rate and payment" block, select "Bargain" mode.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/F19CLwRMmKnETVWdT8y6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Indicate the cost of transportation (participants' bids may be higher or lower than the indicated cost), select the type of taxation.

It is also possible to select "Accept bids without VAT" (if you specify that bids with and without VAT are allowed, participants will be able to choose the type of taxation independently when submitting bids).

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/3RZbtoOIb7aExWDbz3yV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Set a deadline for the winner to confirm their bid. Once you selected the winner, they must confirm their bid. If the winner does not confirm their bid within the specified time, the bid is automatically rejected.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Important!** If the winner does not have time to confirm their bid on time, and the offer owner wants to give them additional time to confirm, they can extend the bid confirmation period in the offer itself, or via "My offers" section on the page of the relevant offer.

If the winner still does not confirm the bid on time, the owner can still select this bid as the winning one. In this case, the confirmation cycle will start over.
{% endhint %}

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/Z7eVj6mMydn9XjTbcKG8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
If you want to schedule bargain in advance for a specific time and to set the exact start and end times, click "Scheduled bidding start" checkbox. This allows carriers to review cargo and calculate bids in advance, while the bidding itself will start and end strictly at the specified times, ensuring flexible scheduling and maximum transparency.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Important!** This feature is available to companies on Pro, Expert, and Enterprise plans and works on both public and private exchange. It is not available to Starter and Free plan or to individuals.
{% endhint %}

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/rY8Kb3HCEzamHVFLuKH5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Publish the offer on a private or public exchange (or both). Once the offer is published, it can accept bids from participants. As the owner of the offer, you will be able to see all bids participating in the bargain. To do this, you must click on your offer.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/jjmXs88YQOhHB0RqXLYw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
If you want to find new partners, let them know by selecting "Private Exchange" option. Afterwards, "Duplicate on public exchange" and "Partner selection" checkboxes will appear. Check both boxes and wait for the bids from potential partners.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/cjBqispT9RTcYlpqoOTR" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Note!** Available for "Bargain" and "Ad" modes only.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Specify the duration of the publication, i.e. how long your bargain will take place on the exchange. The default value is 72h, but you can choose shorter time, such as 24h or 48h.

You can also choose different duration by selecting "Specify your own time" or "Since first bid" checkboxes (the countdown of the duration of publication will start when the first bid is received).

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/rSW9AHqBKRi4xqSmVYkQ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
You can optionally adjust bid's privacy settings for the bidding participants. You can read more in the ["Bid's Privacy"](/en/bids-privacy.md) section.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/RSnDgvbEcfVElazGkt9N" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Offers also have an option to extend the bidding period automatically. When "Auto-renewal on late bid" checkbox is selected, the bidding period will be extended by 10 minutes if a bid was placed 10 minutes before the scheduled end of the publication. Automatic extension can be enabled for up to five times.

This feature automatically extends the bidding period if someone places bid in the last minutes, giving other bidders an opportunity to respond with a new bid.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/VPPVO8MG6nWlfz1OXoMB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click "Publish now" button at the top and bottom of the screen. Done! The offer has been published in "Bargain" mode.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/YGthZS0HlbVU6DRN6dWN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### How to place bids on offers in "Bargain" mode?

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Note!** A user can only have one active bid on a particular offer.

For example, you are a member of both company A and company B. You bid on an offer from company A and then bid on the same offer from company B. In this case, the bid from company A is automatically canceled because both bids were placed by the same user.

You can only place bid on an offer that is in the "Published" status.
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
In the "Search freights and transport" tab, go to the offer with the "Bargain" indicator.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/mEIwECIXDr0VzAZwyeDb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click "Make a bid" button on the right.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/Mf1NIDtnVeuknG99TI0E" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In the window that opens, specify the cost and select taxation type for your offered cost.&#x20;

If the offer owner specified the price with VAT and selected "‎Accept bids without VAT"‎, you can also select this types of taxation.&#x20;

If the owner only specified one type, you will only be able to place bid with this type of taxation.&#x20;

If you wish, you can enter a note. For example, you have an interesting offer both in terms of price and transportation conditions. When all information is filled in, click "Make a bid" button.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/BvxXqVvZiqGZyNoPyPnw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
The status of the placed bid can be tracked in the offer itself. Depending on whether the bid is active or not, it will be displayed in the corresponding block (e.g. if you have canceled the bid, it will no longer be "Active"). Your bid will be marked as "Best", "Among the Best", "Mid" or "Losing" depending on your competitor's bids.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/8c3b9sqHud6vMSu7Qg9P" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
You can also view bids status on ["My bids"](/en/my-bids-section.md) page. All bids are displayed according to their status.

For example, if you placed a bid and the bidding is in progress, your bid appears in the "Bidding" column. Once the bid wins, you need to confirm it and it will then appear in the "Confirmation" column.

On "My bids" page, you can also cancel a bid or make a new one.&#x20;

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/XtxYwp8G3ZGeaBQWCKHp" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Important!** Do not forget to refresh the page manually to keep track of competitors bids and win!
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}
